From June 20 to 22, on the occasion of the most melodic day of the year, the national network for the European Music Day is organising over 100 events and concerts in 65 unique locations, including archaeological and cultural sites, as well as public spaces, squares, parks and bars.

The European Music Day returns for its 25th year and invites everyone to participate in a grand celebration that takes in a total of 34 regions and cities in Greece, for three days.

Featuring more than 180 artists, musical groups, choirs, symphony and philharmonic orchestras, the European Music Day once again shapes a polyphonic mosaic of rhythms, sounds, and ultimately experiences that resonates throughout Greece.

From singing and dancing on the pier of Chania, to electronic music on the island of Paros, from the concerts in Xanthi to the polyphonic cantatas in Pyrgos, from the Mediterranean and Balkan melodies in the medieval city of Rhodes to classical music in Herodes Atticus Theatre and the Megaro Gyzi in Santorini, and from parties in the gardens of the Athens Concert Hall and rebetika on Sykia Beach to the events at the Ancient Theatre in Chaeroneia, the European Music Day 2024 activates different musical genres in places of diverse cultural significance, opening channels of communication between the traditional and the contemporary, the classical and the popular, the domestic and the international.

The cities participating in the events of European Music Day 2024 are: Athens, Aigialia, Agrinio, Alexandroupoli, Amaliada, Andritsaina, Ancient Olympia, Argostoli, Astakos, Chaeronea, Chania, Chios, Ioannina,  Karystos, Kallithea (attica), Kallithea (Ilia), Kato Samiko, Krestena, Krouni,  Kythira, Megara, Naxos, Nea Figaleia, Xanthi, Paros, Patras, Pyrgos, Rhodes, Santorini, Sparti, Sykia (Corinth), Thessaloniki, Thespies and Xanthi.
